Innogen Research - Public dialogue and engagement

At Innogen we:

  • explore the barriers against, and opportunities for, multi-disciplinary communication in science and social science
  • examine whether and how scientists communicate outside of the academic world through the media
  • analyse how research partnerships are constructed and the processes of politics and power that underpin them
  • study the links in society between scientists, institutions, policy makers, third sector organisations and the public and how these relationships influence innovation and dissemination
  • investigate the attitudes of the public towards new technologies, e.g. farmers attitudes towards genetically modified (GM) crops
