The complexity of the biomedical sciences, and the diverse range of people, skills, technology and knowledge domains now required for success, necessitate the cultivation of interdisciplinary research teams.
A number of Innogen projects reflect on these issues including work which seeks to explore, through a series of interdisciplinary masterclasses, how we might formalise and codify our approach to interdisciplinarity and to share this knowledge with the wider research community.
A series of \'how to\' guides has been produced:
Short Guide to Developing Interdisciplinary Research Proposals - ISSTI Briefing Note (Number 1)
Short Guide to Reviewing Interdisciplinary Research Proposals - ISSTI Briefing Note (Number 2)
Short Guide to Building and Managing Interdisciplinary Research Teams - ISSTI Briefing Note (Number 3)
Short Guide to Supervising Interdisciplinary PhDs - ISSTI Briefing Note (Number 4)
Short Guide to Troubleshooting Interdisciplinary Research Management Challenges - ISSTI Briefing Note (Number 5)
