Financial assistance

Travel (for all Fellowships)

A one off travel grant of up to £400 is available for travel to and from Edinburgh from within the UK and mainland Europe, and up to £800 pounds for travel out with Europe.

Where and when appropriate, travel between Edinburgh, and other EGN Centres will be funded separately.

Subsistence

A monthly allocation of £800 is available for Fellowships and £1000 for Professorial Fellowships.

Distinguished Visiting Fellows can claim up to £250 for subsistence/week.

Accommodation

The Forum is pleased to help in finding suitable accommodation in Edinburgh. Fellows can choose for the Forum to deal with all aspects of accommodation (including deposits and monthly payments), or to organise their own accommodation and claim for financial support if required. Monthly grants of up to £750 for Fellowships and up to £1,000 for Professorial Fellowships can be requested (must be related to incurred costs).

The Forum will arrange and cover accommodation (in hotel or aparthotel) for Distinguished Visiting Fellows.
