Luigi Orsenigo is a full Professor of Industrial Economics, Faculty of Engineering, University of Brescia, Italy and part time Professor of Economics at The Open University.
After receiving his PhD from the Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex, he has been affiliated with Bocconi University and the University of Brescia. He is a member of the Directive Board (and Deputy Director from 1999 to 2006) of CESPRI (Center on the Processes of Internationalization and Innovation), Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.
Professor Orsenigo is working with Innogen on a case study of the International Aids Vaccine Initiative (IAVI). This work is carried out under Innogen projects which are looking at North-South knowledge and technology flows in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
Invited plenary speaker at the UCLA School of Law Conference on the Development Agenda, March 11-12 2007.
Special Issue: Luigi edited a special issue of International Journal of Biotechnology (Volume 10, Issue 5) with Professor Joyce Tait, an Innogen colleague. The focus was on 'Evolution of the Life Science Industries' and is available to download from the journal website.
