I graduated in Philosophy (1st class degree) from the University of Padova under the supervision of Prof. Giovanni Boniolo. I continued my studies at the University of Exeter, obtaining a Master’s degree in Sociology and Philosophy of Science (Merit) under the supervision of Prof. Lenny Moss. My PhD research was on the role of genetic knowledge and technology in familial and professionals’ constructions of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). This was supervised by Dr. Susan Kelly and Dr Hannah Farrimond at Egenis, and Dr. Peter Turnpenny at Clinical Genetics in the RD & E Heavitree hospital in Exeter and is due for completion shortly.
I was appointed as an Associate Research Fellow in Egenis in 2011 and work as an associate research fellow in Dr Susan Kelly's Healthcare Technologies and Society (HTS) Research Group.
