New funding for PhDs

New funding has been announced to support students wishing to undertake a PhD at Egenis. These prestigious awards are worth more than £49,500 for home students and £68,000 for international students over three years. The awards cover:
- Direct payment of tuition fees (at either the standard UK/EU rate or International rate)
- Research council equivalent maintenance allowance for accommodation and living expenses. In 2008/09 this was £12,940; the 2009/10 allowance will be announced later in the year.
Egenis is also offering two ESRC-linked studentships (3 or 1+3 year). We are seeking to recruit students with strong undergraduate degrees (for ESRC 1+3 studentships) or Master’s degrees (for 3-year PhDs) in disciplines including sociology, philosophy, psychology, history, economics, politics, and biology, to be part of our interdisciplinary research community.
You must have received an offer of a place by 27 March 2009 to be eligible for a studentship, so need to act quickly!
