Wellcome Trust Information Meeting

On 24 April 2006, the Forum hosted a visit of the Wellcome Trust team working in following areas:
- Biomedical Ethics Programme, supporting research into the social, ethical, legal and public policy consequences of advances in biomedical science.
- Engaging Science Programme, supporting projects (including activities and research) that investigate biomedical science and its social contexts.
- History of Medicine Programme, supporting serious academic study and careers in the history of medicine.
This visit presented an opportunity to discuss the overall focus of the Biomedical Ethics, History of Medicine and Engaging Science Programmes and to provide information on the Trust’s various funding schemes.
