I am thinking a little more about the use of photography in this project. I am intrigued by the relationship between two spaces: the scientific laboratory and the photographic darkroom. The photographic darkroom appears the very opposite of the scientific laboratory (although it is close to the cryptal space within which Mary Shelley's legendary monster Frankenstein was constructed).
