I have briefly looked at some feminist theories regarding the role of digital technology. A phone call to Stacy Gillis (Research Fellow in Cyberculture, Exeter University) was useful, and she later kindly emailed a chapter of a book about to be published. Cyberspace is thought by some feminists to be of importance because it bypasses issues of the embodied subject, instead offering the potential of a space that is 'post-gender'.
