He lead a discussion on the relationships of science and art, Uncommon Threads through Science and Art, as the inaugural event for the St. Austell SciBar at St. Austell Brewery ("Outstanding beer - Tribute late hopped - very complex and floral. The first time I've presented with the laptop balanced on a firkin"). He also lead a sixth form discussion, Looking at the World through DNA, with a focus on the social and ethical questions surrounding the Human Genome Project.
