Director gives evidence to House of Lords Committee
Date Released: 01 May 2008Director of Egenis Prof John Dupré gave evidence to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee.
Lords Select Committee investigations look into specialist subjects. The Committee has appointed a sub-committee chaired by Lord Patel, to look at the topic of genomic medicine. The inquiry is intended to provide an assessment of genome technologies and their actual and potential impact on clinical practice.
The inquiry will lead to a report, published together with the evidence on which it is based, setting out the Committee's findings and making recommendations to the Government and others.
Professor Dupré gave oral evidence to the committee. Egenis also presented a written submission, as did Cesagen and the Genomics Forum. Read the Egenis written response.
