Paul Atkinson is Associate Director of CESAGen in Cardiff. He is Professor of Sociology in the School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University. He is a member of the Cardiff Centre for Research in Genetics & Society (CCRGS).
He has conducted and directed ethnographic research in medical, educational and cultural settings. He is currently engaged in research projects exploring relationships between clinical genetics and its implications for communication within families and kin networks and predictive testing for genetic diseases.
