In April 2009 Innogen launched the Innogen Insider to stimulate dialogue on the life sciences and society.

Launched in March 2010 Cardiff sciSCREEN uses cinema to promote the engagement of society in the complex field of biomedical science and genetics. Cardiff sciSCREEN is organised by the MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics (CNGG), ERSC Centre for Social and Economic Aspects of Genomics (Cesagen), and the Wales Gene Park.

In June 2010 the ESRC Genomics Forum launched its blog - Genotype. This is a great online area for staff, visitors and writers in residence to comment on the latest news and activities from the Forum.

In December 2010 a dedicated conference blog was created for the EGN Conference - Delivering Global Promise Through the Life Sciences. This blog highlighted conference reports and comment.
